Talmudic Aggadah:
Illustrating and Undermining Halakhah

Rabbi Amy Scheinerman is the hospice rabbi in Howard County, Maryland and teaches in a variety of venues. She is a past president of the Baltimore Board of Rabbis and the Greater Carolinas Association of Rabbis, and has served on the Board of the Central Conference of America Rabbis.

Rabbi Scheinerman received her bachelor’s degree from Brown University and studied at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Princeton Theological Seminary. She was ordained in 1984 at HUC-JIR in New York, where she also received a Doctor of Divinity in 2009. She has served Conservative, Reform, and unaffiliated congregations. She currently serves as editor of the Torah Commentary column of the CCAR newsletter. Her two-volume work entitled “The Talmud of Relationships” is being published by JPS in late summer, 2018.
